Veeresalingam Pantulu’s Ideals Continue to Inspire. Educationists Pay Rich Tributes on Death Anniversary

Hyderabad,: Eminent educationists and members of the Telangana Library Association visited the residence of legendary social reformer Kandukuri Veeresalingam Pantulu on the occasion of his death anniversary and paid rich tributes to the iconic reformer.
Speakers at the event praised Veeresalingam Pantulu’s pioneering efforts in promoting women’s education, encouraging widow remarriages, and eradicating child marriages in Telugu society. They noted that the Hitakarini Samajam founded by him, along with the publication of Vivekavardhini, played a vital role in social awakening and progressive thought in Andhra and Telangana regions.
Describing him as a “Yugapurusha” who introduced modern ideas and reformist thinking to Telugu society, the speakers said his literary and social contributions remain unforgettable. They called upon the younger generation to follow the path of social reform and human values shown by the great visionary.
Later, floral tributes were offered to the portrait of Veeresalingam Pantulu.
Among those who participated were Dr. Durgaprasad, Dr. Ravikumar Chegoni, Dr. P. Vijay Kumar, Dr. Yakub Matangi, Dr. P. Nagaraju, Dr. Ch. Mallesham and other members of the Telangana Library Association.
