World Environment Day Observed at BRAOU

Hyderabad, Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Open University (BRAOU) celebrated World Environment Day on its Jubilee Hills campus on Friday, highlighting the importance of environmental conservation and sustainability.
Vice-Chancellor Prof. Ghanta Chakrapani planted saplings at the Prof. G. Ram Reddy Memorial Precinct in front of the EMR&RC building. Addressing the gathering, he stressed that protecting the environment is a shared responsibility and underscored the need to educate students about environmental awareness and conservation from an early stage.
As part of the programme, faculty members, administrative officials and staff participated in a plantation drive across the university campus. Registrar Dr. L. Vijaya Krishna Reddy, Prof. Anand Pawar, Prof. Ravindranath Solomon, Prof. P. Venkataramana, Prof. G. Dayakar, along with directors, deans, heads of departments, teaching and non-teaching staff, and representatives of employee associations, took part in the event.
The participants reiterated their commitment to promoting a greener and cleaner environment through sustained conservation efforts and awareness initiatives.
