No Fuel Shortage in Telangana. Petrol, Diesel and LPG Supply Running Smoothly: OMCs

Hyderabad, May 18: Oil Marketing Companies (OMCs) on Sunday clarified that there is no shortage of petrol, diesel or LPG anywhere in Telangana and that fuel supplies are continuing without disruption across the state.
In a statement, the OMCs said supply operations are being monitored round the clock and necessary steps are being taken to further strengthen transportation and delivery services. During the first 15 days of this month, petrol supply in the state increased by 14.2 per cent while diesel supply registered a growth of 15.7 per cent.
The companies stated that domestic LPG bookings have come down slightly due to the summer season, describing it as a normal trend. Till Sunday, nearly 20.06 lakh domestic LPG cylinders had been delivered across Telangana this month.
Consumers were advised to book LPG cylinders through SMS, missed call, IVRS and online platforms. OMCs also urged customers to cooperate in implementing the OTP-based Delivery Authentication Code (DAC) system to prevent irregularities in LPG distribution. The DAC system is already being implemented in more than 95 per cent of deliveries in Telangana.
The companies appealed to the public not to believe rumours or fake news regarding fuel shortage and to rely only on information released through official sources.
