Hyderabad: Telangana State Formation Day celebrations were held grandly at Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Open University on Tuesday. Vice-Chancellor Prof. Ghanta Chakrapani hoisted the National Flag and conveyed his greetings to the university staff on the occasion.

Speaking on the occasion, he paid tributes to the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the formation of Telangana. He said the university is committed to providing equal opportunities to all sections of society and is fulfilling its social responsibility by offering free higher education to students from Gond, Koya, Chenchu and other backward tribal communities under the Equal Opportunity Plan.

Prof. Chakrapani announced that the university would collaborate with the State Government to organize Artificial Intelligence (AI) training programmes for government teachers. He also stated that the DRC building being constructed under PM-USHA funds would be completed soon.
