Hayathnagar, : The week-long “Education Week” celebrations organized at Government Degree College, Hayathnagar, as part of the Telangana Government’s prestigious ‘99 Days Public Governance–Progress Plan’, concluded grandly on Sunday with enthusiastic participation from students and faculty members.

The closing ceremony, held under the chairmanship of Principal Dr. P. Suresh Babu, featured vibrant cultural performances by students, showcasing their talent and creativity. Various academic, skill-development and awareness programmes were conducted throughout the week to enhance students’ employability and all-round development.

Speaking on the occasion, the Principal said the celebrations had infused new confidence and enthusiasm among students. He emphasized that along with classroom education, students must excel in areas such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), NSS activities, skill development and cultural awareness to build a bright future. He appreciated the support extended by faculty members, non-teaching staff, alumni and donors for the successful conduct of the programme.

Students who excelled in academics, sports, NCC, NSS and cultural activities during the academic years 2024-25 and 2025-26 were felicitated with prizes and certificates. Special appreciation was extended to Tejashri, who secured State 2nd Rank in Telangana PGCET Zoology, and Anil Kumar, who secured employment in the Telangana High Court.
